The new year is a chance to start fresh. It is a time to forget the mistakes of the past and focus on making better choices. For me, “new year, new me” means working to improve myself. I want to become more organized, study harder, and spend more time with my family. It feels exciting to set new goals and work on achieving them step by step.

How I Spent My Christmas Vacation
Christmas has been the most awaited holiday of all. People
show love by giving gifts. Well, others may spend their Christmas vacay in a blast
but me, I didn’t.
After the Christmas party held at school, me, my lolo and lola, drove to Bulacan to spend our vacation in my uncle’s abode.
December 25, Christmas Day, I got sick which led me to a high fever that lasted more than a week. Even though I didn’t enjoy my vacay as much as my classmates, I am very thankful that I got gifts and money.
December 29, my cousin’s baptismal, me and my family got a
chance to get together and have fun. We drank and swim all night at the resort.
January 4, we drove back home together with my lolo and
lola.
Flu did not stop me from enjoying my vacation. So I still
had fun during Christmas.

Quarter 1 Thematic
Our planet is in urgent need of care, and one of the most effective ways to protect it is by engaging our communities. I’ve learned that small, collective actions can make a big difference in promoting an environmentally conscious lifestyle.
In my community, I’ve participated in clean-up drives to reduce pollution and raise awareness about the importance of proper waste disposal. These events not only clean our surroundings but also inspire others to think more carefully about their own habits. I’ve also been part of tree-planting programs, which add greenery to urban spaces and help combat climate change. The simple act of planting a tree reminds us of our connection to the earth and our role in preserving it. Engaging others in daily sustainable practices like recycling, reducing plastic use, and conserving energy is key. These small actions, when done by many, can create significant positive impacts on the environment. By involving youth in these efforts, we help ensure a future generation of eco-conscious leaders.Protecting the planet begins with us, and by working together as a community, we can make sure that future generations inherit a cleaner, healthier world.
Reflection on First Quarter
However, there were challenges along the way. One of the biggest difficulties I faced was dealing with technical errors and issues while uploading my blogs. Sometimes, the internet connection was unstable, which made it hard to complete tasks on time. These problems tested my patience and made me more aware of how important it is to have reliable technology.

We, For Teachers
Teachers are the quiet heroes of our society. Day after day, they put their hearts into their work, even when it goes unnoticed. They teach us not just facts and figures but how to think critically, solve problems, and work with others. They help us grow into responsible, kind, and thoughtful individuals who can contribute to the world around us.
Behind every successful person is a teacher who believed in them, who encouraged them when things got tough, and who showed them that they had the power to achieve greatness. Teachers often go beyond their job descriptions—they are counselors when we feel lost, cheerleaders when we doubt ourselves, and sometimes even a comforting presence when we need support.
It takes great patience and strength to be a teacher. They face challenges like large classes, limited resources, and the different learning needs of each student. Yet, they continue to show up every day with the same dedication and love for what they do. Their influence goes far beyond the classroom, shaping not just the minds of their students, but the future of our communities and our country.
We owe our teachers so much, not just for the knowledge they give, but for the care, compassion, and inspiration they provide. They make the world a better place, and we are forever grateful for their contribution to building a brighter future for all.

Towards a More Industrious Philippines
In response, the government and the corporate sector have developed a number of measures targeted at promoting industrial growth. The government's Build, Build, Build program improves infrastructure to make it more suitable to industrial activities, whilst the
Philippine Development Plan fosters manufacturing competitiveness. Special Economic Zones (SEZs) have been formed to encourage foreign investment and provide incentives to industries. The business sector has also responded, with local conglomerates investing in infrastructure and energy. There has been a focus on creating human capital, including technical-vocational education and STEM programs designed to close the skills gap. Partnerships with multinational corporations have aided the transfer of technology and experience to local sectors. Together, these initiatives aim to establish the groundwork for a highly industrialized economy.
However, significant hurdles remain on the country's route to industrialization. Corruption and bureaucracy continue to impede project delivery and deter international investment. Environmental problems also present a challenge, as industrial progress must be balanced with sustainability, particularly given the Philippines' vulnerability to climate change. The country confronts significant competition from neighboring industrializing countries such as Vietnam and Indonesia, which have stronger policies in place. Furthermore, despite educational gains, there is a skills gap that must be addressed in order to meet the expectations of industrial sectors. To address these obstacles, the Philippines will require constant political will, increased transparency, and a commitment to sustainable development. The country will only achieve long-term, inclusive industrial growth if the public and private sectors work together effectively.
The Unknown Piece of Me
In high school, I started to develop hobbies because I believe that having no hobbies is boring. So in my first year, I began learning how to do calligraphy , I did not master it but I used it on my answer sheets by designing them. In second year, I joined badminton in intramurals, but I lose, I planned to do training to develop my skills but I don’t have the time and money to do do. And I also developed interest in playing guitar ‘cause I think it’s cool, but I did not master it also. In third year, I learned how to cook.
